cardiology department. They seek a collaborative leader
(RTRCV, RCIS, RTR or RN) who can continue to retain their
talented staff, which includes a recently hired RTRCV of 18
years and an exceptional Cath Lab RN who is also an
educator. Both of these hires came from my firm. There is
absolutely no preference for an RN in this role. The key is to
be able to jump in within the Cath Lab if ever needed in a
pinch.
This is an exceptionally advanced facility of just under 200
beds in a fantastic location with easy access to both Boston
and the legendary recreation of New England mountains,
lakes and coastline. The location has everything from great
schools to great nightlife, and is a mecca for great companies
and professional residents.
The Cardiology Director position is a newly created 95%
administrative position. The Director reports to the VP and
has operational, clinical and financial charge. Our client wants
someone adept at financial affairs and at continuous
improvement, to include the marketing of cardiology services,
constant evaluation of their implementation and the
consistent delivery of care. While fostering an environment of
professional growth and employee retention in an expanding
department, the director will also be expected to maintain
clinical skills by working as needed or at a minimum level of
patient care to keep skills honed.
Approximate FTEs: Non-Invasive Cardiology (18 FTEs). Cath
Lab (9 FTEs). Cardiac Rehab (5 FTEs).
Requirements: Cardiology Director would preferably be an
MBA or MS. Minimum of five years as a clinical practitioner
and three years of supervisory experience required.
Exceptional B.S. candidates with be considered for director.
Director must also hold at least one clinical license (RN,
RTRCV, RCIS, etc.).
