This is a smaller community hospital near Nashville. This is a great
recreational area for hunting, fishing, boating and the outdoors. The hospital
will consider an experienced hospital pharmacist who has the right aptitude
for management as well as pharmacists with prior hospital management
experience.
Position Overview:
The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for all operations including
establishing and maintaining policies and procedures, formulary updates,
procuring medications and maintaining compliance with accreditation and
certification requirements and state and federal laws.
Responsibilities:
Supervises pharmacy personnel
Recruits, promotes, disciplines and terminates pharmacy staff Develops
and implements a strategic plan for the pharmacy that supports the mission
and goals of the organization
Ensures safe and cost effective drug therapies and clinical programs for
patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
Provides for the educational needs of healthcare professionals and patients
* Prepares work schedules and monitors workload statistics.
Maintains an appropriate staffing level.
* Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures within
budget guidelines
Requirements:
* Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members
required.
* Must have hospital pharmacy management experience
* Pharmacy license in good standing
