CLINICAL STAFF PHARMACIST
Description: Pharmacist dispenses and monitors medications, drugs, and
other pharmaceuticals as ordered by qualified prescribers and provides
interpretation, information education and advice to caregivers in compliance
with New Mexico Board of Pharmacy, federal regulations, JCAHO in order to
ensure pharmaceutical care for the patient. Performs and supervises routine
duties in the pharmacy. In addition to distributive responsibilities, Clinical
Staff Pharmacists participate in a variety of clinical activities such as the
Pharmacy Pharmacokinetic and TPN Service, Coumadin Counseling, IV to PO
Recommendations, Therapeutic Interchange, and Heparin dosing. The
Clinical Staff Pharmacist also serves as a valuable source of drug
information for MMC healthcare professionals.

Qualifications: Candidate must possess a current (or eligible) New Mexico
Pharmacist license and IV certification. Additional qualifications include
oncology experience and strong interest in oncology and at least one year of
solid hospital experience. Previous experience with the medication therapies
of a CVL, ICU, Cardiac surgery, neonatal/pediatrics also a plus.
