Our client is a 500 bed trauma one teaching facility experiencing
unprecendented growth and positive organizational development and change.
Recently, they built a brand new state-of-the art outpatient pharmacy. With the
addition of a new outpatient pharmacy wing and an inpatient redesign and Pyxis
system upgrade, growth has created the need for an ADOP. Enjoy top notch pay

This is a research facility and outpatient pharmacy is as comprehensive as you
will see, and there are two outpatient pharmacies.

Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Services, you will have oversight of staff
and day-to-day operations of our two outpatient pharmacies. Responsibilities
will include financial performance of the outpatient services against budget,
maintaining service levels and patient satisfaction in services provided, and
ensuring compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations. Will also be
responsible for the growth of the outpatient services through collaboration with
medical staff and coordination of new services to be created in support of key
patient populations.

Requirements:
Prior P & L responsibilities in an operation of a similar size and complexity
Experience in developing pharmacy services in support of clinic and ambulatory
patient population
Experience in an academic medical center is strongly preferred
Knowledge of PBM contract negotiations and/or plan development is strongly
preferred
Qualified candidate must be a Licensed Pharmacist in MA (or eligible)
10+ years in the pharmacy profession
5+ years of senior leadership in comprehensive outpatient pharmacy services
Familiar with trends, issues and the future of outpatient pharmacy
Recent experience in large hospital outpatient arms. This does not have to be
large teaching or trauma one, but you do need to come from a comprehensive
and extensive outpatient operation
