Our client’s rehabilitation department is forward thinking, and promotes healing
through a variety of treatments, including massage therapy. They are in the
process of expanding 60,000 square feet to accommodate patients in this
regional commercial center and rural recreational destination just over an hour
outside of Spokane. As a small community hospital, they are very advanced
technologically.
The hospital provides full service laboratory and radiology services, obstetrical
services, cardiopulmonary care, physical therapy and cardiac diagnostics. Four
physicians and one nurse practitioner provide family practice care and their
Emergency Room is fully staffed 24/7 with M.D.'s in-house.
Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical
therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury
or loss of a body part and help patient reach his maximum performance. Plans
therapy involving physical means such as exercise, massage, heat, water,
water, etc., utilizing various mechanical and electrical equipment, and prosthetic
and orthotic devices. Evaluates, records and reports patient's progress for
review.
Schedule: This is a fulltime position.
Requires 6 years of PT education and/or equivalent education and experience
sufficient to perform as a physical therapist in a hospital setting.
Physical Therapy services include:
McConnell taping for shoulders and knees
Work hardening and work conditioning
Lumbar stabilization
Treatment for Sport injuries; work and accident injuries; Sprains, Tendonitis,
Bursitis and Arthritis; Neurological disorders: Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke or
Muscular Dystrophy ; and systemic diseases like diabetes.
