Our client is 160-bed acute care community hospital in the heart of the lower
Naugatuck Valley. Many health care facilities around the world continue to visit
them and incorporate their ideas into their health care models.
They seek an occupational therapist for outpatient setting. The candidate might
have to float to inpatient on occasion
The responsibilities include organizing and conducting medically prescribed
occupational therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent
disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part.
This is a day position Monday - Friday
There is flexibility with the schedule
There will be an opportunity to get some lymphatic training
There will be opportunity to use aquatic therapy
Work Environment:
There is a family atmosphere, which promotes learning and support.
There are variable levels of experience and expertise of other therapists.
There is an "open door "policy with supervisors and directors.
There is an opportunity for leadership development and advancement for
motivated individuals.
Occupational Therapist Requirements
BS or MS or DPT and a degree in Occupational l Therapy from an accredited
program.
