The Director of Surgical Services is the nursing leader for the perioperative
service area of the hospital and reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.  The
ideal candidate will possess the ability to create a positive cultural environment
and assure safety and quality within surgical and anesthesia. Compliance with
and development of evidence-based policies and practices. Seeking a talented
mentor, motivator and liaison who is both decisive and caring. This is a very
patient focused operation. Responsible and accountable for overall
management, planning, coordinating and directing of the Surgery and Post
Anesthesia Care Unit

Requires: Team player who functions well within the stressful environment of
surgical services. Problem solving and conflict management skills. Current WA
RN License is required (or eligible) as well as a BSN.  CORN with significant
experience in staffing and managing surgical and perioperative services.  5+
years of experience and 3+ additional experience in manager level or above.
Studer Principles competent. Rural healthcare background or small community
hospital background preferred.

Pay and benefits: Compensation based on small scale, rural community
operation will fall somewhere between 100K and 120K. Realistically, in the
middle of that for established professionals. Benefits are comprehensive and
offer retirement perks and deferred compensation.
