JOB DESCRIPTION:
Full-time, 80 hours per pay period position working as Registered Nurse in the
OR/Cath Lab. This position will require working various 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts
to include days, evenings, nights and weekend and holiday rotation.
4 OR suites, 9 PACU rooms
3-4 OR generalists, 5 orthopods, and a cardiovascular surgeon
The Registered Nurse demonstrates skilled peri-operative abilities and
practices within the framework of the nursing process. As a part of this team, the
nurse performs invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular diagnostic and
interventional procedures and electrophysiological procedures.
The nurse will utilize sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic
monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and
peripheral vascular disease.
The nurse may be cross-trained to the scrub and recording role. The nurse
coordinates and provides direct patient care in a structured environment while
adhering to and supporting hospital and unit philosophy goals and standards of
care. The nurse is a highly effective communicator with patient, family and other
health care team members. The nurse is a patient advocate. The nurse fosters
the development of colleagues and students.
He/she demonstrates advanced technical competencies, positive interpersonal
relationships and well-developed critical thinking skills to promote and provide
quality health care for patients.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Currently licensed with the SD State Nursing Board and/or possesses
multistate licensure privileges as required by position. Basic Life Support and
ACLS certified. PALS preferred.
