Our client is an exceptionally advanced facility of just under 200 beds in a
fantastic location with easy access to both Boston and the legendary recreation
of New England mountains, lakes and coastline. The location has everything
from great schools to great nightlife, and is a Mecca for great companies and
professional residents.
This position reports to the AVP. It is a Director of the Operating Room position –
only OR -- the previous Director has stepped down into that position.
Approximately 52 people report to the Director, including the Clinical Manager,
Clinical Teacher, staff RN's, Anesthesia Techs, Surgical Techs, Preoperative
Techs, Material Coordinators, Equipment Tech, Surgical Bilkers and Health Unit
Coordinator.
Annual volume is 6,000; there are 10 OR suites -- 5 old and 5 brand new.
Perform vascular, ortho and spine (largest volume), ENT, Urology and Neuro.
No hearts.
Key aspects of this position include:
Recruitment, reviews, retention, scheduling, staffing
Safety, procedures and protocols
Care statistics, budgets, variance reports, cost reduction
Strategic plans and goals
Requirements:
Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse/ or eligible
Baccalaureate required and post-graduate degree preferred
Minimum of three years progressive leadership experience
Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Specialty certification preferred
Computer and presentation skills
Exceptional communicator and relationship builder
Transformative leader
Schedule: This is a full-time, daytime position. Monday-Friday.
Compensation: Very high pay for this region. In fact, it is competitive with Boston
