Nurse Manager assumes accountability and responsibility for translating the
philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and nursing
service into effective action.  Responsibility is centralized within six major areas:  
leadership, clinical practice, professional development, strategic planning, and
management of the environment and resource management.
Requirements:
o Must possess clinical competence in MICU nursing practice.
o Have excellent communication skills.
o Prior managerial or supervisory experience.
o BSN absolutely required at minimum. Any type of master’s degree preferred.  
o Current Commonwealth of Massachusetts Registered Nurse License or
eligible.
